From Kay Carter: 

I am so excited to be a member of the Upstate LGBT Chamber of Commerce and to have the opportunity to help make a difference in our community.

I went through some big life changes beginning in 2014, breaking long-standing ties with evangelicalism, going through a divorce after a 22-year marriage, and coming out as a lesbian at the age of 43. 

The process of becoming my true, authentic self has been filled with some pain, yes, but also with so much more joy and happiness than I ever thought possible.

I came to Greenville in 2017 to build a business as an Edward Jones Financial Advisor so that I can help as many people as possible, especially members of our own LGBTQ+ community. Edward Jones is a truly inclusive firm and puts their money and resources to work to accomplish those goals, which is one of the many reasons I love this firm.

As I look forward to many more years of this amazing career, my mission is to help provide access to financial services in a safe environment for those of us who may not experience equal access to those services and that safety in other places.  In my branch, YOU are welcomed and valued.
